Just a small update today. =) I’ve added some new icons to the archive, some made by me and some beautiful ones by Flor! Thanks Flor =D Be sure to have a look! And remember to credit whoever made them if you use any of them.

As you probably already know, Saoirse was to be honored at the Oscar Wilde: Honoring the Irish in Film event, which was held yesterday in Los Angeles. Unforunately, she wasn’t able to attend, as she’s in Germany filming Hanna. However, she did accept her award via video and a small picture has surfaced. =) Thanks to M for pointing it out! Saoirse was awarded the Wilde Card, which recognizes rising talent. Congratulations Saoirse! You can read a short article about the ceremony here, thanks to Jessie for pointing it out. I’ve also replaced some of the pictures from the Lovely Bones LA press conference with untagged ones. =)

Thanks to the wonderful Sugar Mouse, we now have scans from Elle Girl Russia available in the gallery for your viewing. =) Saoirse also made an appearance in the BAFTA Portfolio in Telegraph Magazine in the UK. It features another gorgeous photo from the Lorenzo Agius shoot. Be sure to check them out! I’ve also added more photos from the Lorenzo Agius shoot last year, thanks again to Sugar Mouse for pointing several of them out. =) Enjoy!

In the March 2010 issue of Seventeen, Saoirse is featured as a cover girl and thanks to my all too wonderful friend Gary, there are scans in the gallery! You may recongnize a couple of the pictures from Kiss magazine or the RTE Guide but the shoot is still absolutely stunning! Be sure to take a look =) And thank you everyone for your wonderful compliments on the new layout!

Later: The Lovely Bones will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on April 20th! It will be for purchase as either a single disc DVD or a 2-Disc special edition Blu-ray. The Blu-ray edition will feature over three hours of special features, including a set diary hosted by Peter Jackson. It sounds amazing! You can preorder a copy of the DVD here and the Blu-ray here. =)

Saoirse attended the BAFTAs tonight in London! She looked gorgeous, in her white Burberry dress! There aren’t very many pictures just yet but more will be added soon! Unforunately, Saoirse did not win but the award did go to the very talented Carey Mulligan for An Education! Congratulations to Carey! There’s always another time for Saoirse. =) I’ve also added 4 candids from back on December 2nd of Saoirse arriving at It’s On with Alexa Chung. Be sure to have a look! Later: I’m not sure how I missed this but thanks to Sugar Mouse, I’ve discovered that Saoirse has been nominated for a Young Artist Award! She’s nominated for Best Performance in a Feature Film – Leading Actress for The Lovely Bones. Congrats Saoirse! View the full list of nominees here.
